PROJECT BRIEF:
The study aims to analyse multiple issues (especially risk of water pollution, water demand, inundation threats, development pattern, biodiversity richness, socio-economic profile, and river administration structure), and synchronised cross-sectoral measures (inclusive land use planning, water resources development, water quality conservation, flood resilient, biodiversity sustainability, resources’ economic, and governmental and legislation on river at state level)  into a comprehensive unit to guide for a more integrated river basin management in the 8,880 km. sq. Sungai Padas Basin, Sabah

RESPONSIBILITY:
Coordinating the team; organise meetings; report concept, structure, compilation, editing and design; presentations to client; writing the land use chapter; geodatabase development; data collection and digitising; conducting various spatial analyses (including Cellular Automata Model (CAM) to predict urban sprawl, and Basin Spatial Environmental Risk Analysis); producing more than 200 maps + some 150 figures; synchronising contents of chapters and volumes; and oversee final report printing stage. Assisting other experts to produce; natural resources Total Economic Value (TEV) assessment; planning flood mitigation measures; calculation/modelling of Total Daily Load (TDL), and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL); groundwater assessment; and project documentations.
